1. Booking and Payment

By making a booking with Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast, you agree to these terms and conditions. All bookings must be made through our website or by contacting us directly.

  • A deposit of 30% of the total booking value is required to secure your reservation
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 14 days before your arrival date
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking for reservations made within 14 days of arrival
  • We accept payment by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 48 hours before check-in: Full refund minus 10% administration fee
  • 24-48 hours before check-in: 50% refund of total booking value
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund

3. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in time: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Late check-in may be arranged by prior agreement - please contact us in advance
  • Late check-out may be available subject to availability and may incur additional charges
  • You will receive smart lock access codes via email 24 hours before your arrival

4. Guest Responsibilities

As a guest at Hillcrest, you agree to:

  • Treat the property with respect and care
  • Not smoke inside the property (smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only)
  • Keep noise to a reasonable level, especially between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM
  • Not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for your room
  • Not host parties or events without prior written permission
  • Report any damage or issues to us immediately
  • Secure the property when leaving and upon departure

5. Pets

We are a pet-friendly establishment. Pets are welcome with prior notice, subject to a £15 per night pet fee. Pet owners must ensure their pets are well-behaved, kept under control at all times, and do not cause damage to the property or disturbance to other guests.

6. Damage and Loss

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay. We reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacement of damaged items. In the event of loss or damage, we will provide an itemized invoice for your records.

7. Liability

While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure your safety and security, Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast accepts no liability for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
  • Personal injury (except where caused by our negligence)
  • Vehicle damage or theft from parking areas
  • Disruption to your stay caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, power outages, etc.)

Guests are advised to arrange appropriate travel and contents insurance.

8. Changes to Bookings

Requests to modify your booking (dates, room type, number of guests) should be made in writing. We will do our best to accommodate changes subject to availability. Changes made within 7 days of arrival may incur an administration fee.

9. Our Right to Refuse or Terminate

We reserve the right to refuse booking or terminate a guest's stay without refund if:

  • The guest breaches these terms and conditions
  • The guest behaves in a manner deemed disruptive, dangerous, or illegal
  • False information was provided during booking
  • The property or other guests are at risk

10. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemic, or acts of God.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
